The TUNI account is used to log in to the new and most commonly used old services. The user accounts of the former organizations (TAMK, UTA, TUT) are still used to log in to some of the old services.

When logging in to an online service requiring HAKA login using the TUNI account, please select

Tampere Universities / Tampereen korkeakoulut

from the HAKA dropdown menu.

Most common problems

My TUNI account does not work.

Please activate your TUNI account before starting to use the TUNI account.

Further information on activating the account.

TUNI email address and the TUNI account password are used to log in to the TUNI Office 365 services.

I forgot my password

You can change the password of your TUNI account at password.tuni.fi or at the IT Helpdesk.

The password of the old TAMK account can be changed at id.tamk.fi or at the IT Helpdesk at TAMK.

The password of the old UTA account can be changed at password.uta.fi or at the IT Helpdesk at UTA.

For changing the password of the former TUT account, browse to tut.fi/omatunnus, change the password using your Finnish banking access codes at tut.fi/tupas or visit the IT Helpdesk at TUT.

Which account is used to log in to which online service

A TUNI account is primarily used to log in to all new common services and the old student services of the UTA and TUT. A list of accounts used to log in to the most commonly used services can be found on this site. Select e.g. Student/TUT from the menu. A more detailed list can be found in the intranet.

I logged in using my TUNI account but my old information is not available.

Even though the TUNI account may appear the same as the user account of your former organization, it is a different account. Therefore, when logging in using a TUNI account, you are identified as a different user from when you use your account of your former organization.

The user information of the most important remaining services will be modified so that the information of the old account will be copied to the new one. If an old account is used to log in to the service, the user information will not be copied. Please find a list of logging in to different services on the Changes in Services page of your own organization.

If a service is not listed on the Changes in Services page (e.g. Moodles of other Universities), no changes will be made to the service. It is recommended to finish uncompleted matters, e.g. Moodle courses of other organizations using the old accounts. At a convenient time, switch to TUNI account by logging in at the HAKA menu using your TUNI account.

How can I use the TUNI account and the account of my former organization at the same time?

Even though online services use Single Sign On, the login is service specific so the login should lead to HAKA menu. An exception to this are the Office 365 services, which only require one login.

Different browsers for using different accounts are recommended to avoid confusion and minimize the number of logins. For example, you could use Firefox to log in to services requiring the TUNI account and Chrome to log in to services requiring accounts of the former organizations.

I cannot get to the HAKA menu

If the login leads directly to the login page of the former organization, you should likely use the account of your former organization to log in. If the TUNI account should be used to log in to the service, but the browser is directed to the login page of a former organization, please restart your browser or browse to HAKA settings page https://haka.funet.fi/shibboleth/WAYF and click the Reset/Palauta button. Please find a list of logging in to different services in the intranet of your own organization at Changes in Services pages.
